It’s almost time for Amazon‘s brand new fall shopping event, Prime Early Access Sale. We may not know exactly what Amazon has in store for its “early Black Friday” sale, but we’ve spotted a few trends that might help you prepare your shopping list.

Widely regarded as a “second Prime Day,” this event closely follows the usual Prime Day conventions — you can expect to see sitewide discounts across virtually all categories, rapidfire flash deals, ample shopping guides and exclusive perks for Prime members. Prime Early Access Sale kicks off at midnight (PT) Tuesday, October 11th and runs through 11:59 p.m. (PT) Wednesday, October 12th.

You’ll need an Amazon Prime membership to unlock the best Prime Early Access savings during the event, but everyone gets to enjoy the thousands of pre-Prime Early Access deals available right now.

Choosing Our Prime Early Access Sale Deal Predictions

It looks like the Prime Early Access Sale follows the tried-and-true Prime Day playbook, but remember – this is a brand new Amazon promotion. With no previous Prime Early Access Sales to draw from, our predictions are supported by:

  1. Trends from Pre-Prime Early Access deals, where certain brands and products feature heavily.
  2. Recurring Prime Day offers, as most Amazon sales follow Prime Day trends.
  3. Popular gift categories, which likely factor into Amazon’s “early Black Friday sale” strategy.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that you will find these specific deals or products during the Prime Early Access Sale. Some highlighted early deals might stick around until the event begins (or even drop in price once it does), but don’t count on it — waiting for a deeper discount is exhilarating when it works and deeply frustrating when it doesn’t, so use your best judgment.

Product availability and deal percentages for pre-Prime Early Access Sale deals are both subject to change at any time.

Shop Household Essentials Now and Beat the Black Friday Rush

The Prime Early Access Sale will definitely feature enticing savings on festive home decor, furniture, countertop kitchen appliances. “Home” is a rather expansive category that covers many product categories, but you’ll get a general idea of what to expect if you check out the featured brands and deal previews in Amazon’s Home Gift Guide.

Vacuum Cleaners

We’ve seen an abundance of early iRobot Roomba deals. Many models are discounted, so you’ll have your pick of robot vacuum discounts during Prime Early Access. Right now, you can get the iRobot Roomba 694 for $199 (usually $274, a 27% discount).

If you prefer the old-school manual approach to vacuuming, keep an eye on vacuum deals from Bissell and Hoover — both brands offered tons of savings during Prime Day, and many deals are available right now. Vacuums designed for pet hair removal seem to be especially popular.

Bedding, Mattresses and Bedframes

Amazon’s most recent Prime Day and Black Friday sales featured substantial price reductions on bedroom essentials like mattresses, sheet sets and memory foam toppers.

You can usually expect a solid showing from budget-friendly brands like Amazon Basics and Zinus, but we’re hoping to see major mattress markdowns from cult-favorite brands like Casper. Here’s hoping — the queen-size Casper Sleep Element Mattress briefly dropped to $645 after Amazon announced the sale.

Home Office Furniture

The pandemic-induced home office furniture boom might be over, but it looks like work-from-home and hybrid workplaces are here to stay. Many retailers are struggling to offload their overstock supply of desk chairs, paper shredders and office organization supplies, so Amazon will likely push these products as well.

Expect Many Countertop Appliance Deals

Cookware and kitchen organization have the largest presence in Amazon’s Home and Kitchen Gift Guide, but we’ve seen several promising small appliance deals buried below the oven mitts and decorative trays — many are available right now!

Blenders and Stand Mixers

We’ll have to wait and see which brand gets the best Prime Early Access blender discount, but you’ll definitely have an enticing lineup to choose from. Vitamix blender deals have become a common Prime Day fixture, with savings that hover between 20% and 50% off – you might even see discounts on higher-end models like the Vitamix 5200.

KitchenAid stand mixers were a highly sought-after holiday gift decades before Black Friday was invented, but they certainly don’t go on sale often! That said, we’re starting to see more stand mixer accessory deals and Amazon sold the KitchenAid Artisan Mini Plus for $260 during Prime Day, which suggests the possiblity of more KitchenAid deals in the near future.

Beverage Appliances

SodaStream decided to announce its Prime Early Access deals ahead of time — you can save up to 38% on select SodaStream sparkling water kits, bundles and flavor sets.

Espresso maker deals are Prime Day staples, so we’ve got a good feeling about these Breville pre-Prime Early Access deals. This offer might not last long, but for now you can snag an 18% discount on a Breville Barista Touch Espresso Machine.

Instant Pots and Air Fryers

Amazon is already offering a modest earlybird discount on select Instant brand pressure cookers, air fryers and accessories. The six-quart Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer is currently listed at $99 (down from $160), just $10 shy of its all-time low price.

Prime Health and Beauty Deals to Look Out For

You’ll definitely save on makeup gift bundles, dental hygiene solutions and all of the requisite tools required for enhacing or removing hair. For now, the biggest pre-Prime Early Access health and beauty deals favor Amazon’s roster of in-house beauty brands.

Electric Toothbrushes

Amazon name-checked Philips Sonicare in its Prime Early Access announcement, so we’ll definitely see some markdowns on electric toothbrushes and Sonicare toothbrush heads. This convenient heads-up will likely inspire competitive discounts from other electric toothbrush brands. Right now, you can save up to 21% on a Waterpik water flosser.

If you prefer a lower-profile electric toothbrush, the Colgate hum Electric Toothbrush is currently going for $29 — that’s 59% off the typical list price of $69.99, one of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen.

Hair Styling Tools

Most pre-Prime Early Access hair styling tool deals come from “mysterious Amazon brands,” but we’ll start seeing more offers from bigger brands soon. The Revlon One-Step Volumizer Hot Air Brush was one of the most popular Prime Early Access post-announcement deals — it sold out soon after the price dropped from $60 to $27, only $3 more than its Prime Day low.

COVID Tests and Face Masks

Health is wealth! The Prime Early Access Sale is the perfect time to restock your supply of N95/KN95 masks and COVID-19 test kits. We haven’t seen a particularly strong presence from any particular brands, but you’ll find plenty of early COVID test and face mask deals ahead of the big event.

For now, you can snag a vast assortment of face masks for the whole family, a five-pack of Siemens Clinitest Kits for $25 (typically $30) and a GoodBaby Forehead Thermometer for $17 (down from $30).

Early Black Friday Tech Steals

Supply issues and inflation will impact the availability and deal value of electronics on Black Friday. The Prime Early Access Sale may not be immune to these market factors, but you’ll have better odds of getting what you’re looking for if you shop ahead. The Electronics Gift Guide offers a general idea of product categories likely to appear in the sale.

Amazon Devices

Like any other Prime event, Amazon devices deals will be featured front and center during Prime Early Access. We might see lower prices once the event goes live, for but now you can save up to 70% on select Amazon devices. If you’re in the market for a new Echo Device, the biggest early discounts favor the Echo Show and Echo Dot line.

4K TV Deals

If you already know which 4K TV you’re planning on purchasing, there’s a solid argument for shopping before Black Friday — a slightly lower price might not be worth taking a risk on limited supply.

Amazon confirmed an upcoming Prime Early Access discount on the chic 65″ 2021 Samsung Frame 4K TV, though the exact discount remains under wraps. Other sizes might go on sale as well, but there’s no news yet. For now, you can pick up a 65″ model for $1,529 (originally $1,797.99).

Sony BRAVIA OLED Smart Google TVs are another likely Black Friday feature expected to appear in Amazon’s fall sale. Prices may drop once Prime Early Access arrives, but you can score savings up to $700 off right now.

PC Gaming Accessories

Amazon has been generous with pre-Prime Early Access discounts on wireless headsets, graphics cards, mechanical keyboards and other PC gaming essentials. If you already have Gran Turismo 7 on your shopping list, we know that the Logitech G920 Driving Wheel will definitely appear during the sale. If you don’t feel like waiting, you can pick one up today for $259 (usually $300). There’s a good chance you’ll get a chance to save on a new Logitech gaming mouse as well.

Headphones and Wireless Earbuds

Wireless earbuds and noise-cancelling headphones are popular gifts, so we’re hoping to see headphone deals from top brands such as Apple AirPods, Beats, Sony and JBL — we don’t know if these brands will offer sales during Prime Early Access, but we’ve seen at least one early Prime deal from each.

Even if you plan on buying a different brand of earbuds, the recent AirPods Pro 2 release is great news for shoppers hoping to save on competing headsets and older AirPods models.

Get a Head Start on Gift Shopping with These Toy Deals

Holiday toy sales have also suffered shipping delays and unexpected shortages over the last couple of years, so nabbing an early deal during Prime Early Access might bring you some peace of mind. The Toys We Love Gift Guide is brimming with gift ideas for the young and the young at heart.

Creative Educational Toys

Prime sales are notoriously device-heavy, but you’ll have no trouble finding thoughtful, screen-free toys and gift ideas during Prime Early Access. The ongoing Arts, Activities and Learning Toys promotion is already packed with discounted Crayola art supplies, Melissa and Doug play sets and throwback classics like Lite Brite.

Kids Fire Tablets

On the other hand, screen-based toys certainly have their advantages — especially when they’re on sale! This pre-Prime Early Access Kids Fire Tablets sale suggests that we’ll see more kid-friendly Amazon devices once the main event kicks off. In the meantime, you can shop early and save $50 to $80 on a Fire HD Kids Tablet.

Construction and STEM Toys

If you’re having trouble choosing the right gift for a clever kid (or one you don’t know very well), you can’t go wrong with construction and STEM toys. From tactile learning toys for little hands to creative experiments for older children, you never know what you might find in Amazon’s expansive selection of early Prime toy deals.
