The popular TV and lifestyle brand star Joanna Gaines collaborated with Target to design a KitchenAid Stand Mixer and it’s marked down just in time for the holidays. The mixer from her eponymous Hearth & Hand with Magnolia home collection for Target is on sale for $299 ($80 off the Reg. Price $379.99). On top of the great savings, the deep forest green “Palm” color and “pebble” texture of this exclusive offer make this mixer a must-have for any stylish kitchen.

Even if baking isn’t your jam, there’s no denying that the KitchenAid Mixer is a statement piece on any kitchen counter no matter the color, and it can tackle more than just mixing. With $80 off now, you now have a reason to get it now (before Thanksgiving and the holidays) versus waiting for any end of the year blow-out sales.
If you are still hesitant about spending $300 on a kitchen appliance, check out the almost 2,000 positive reviews on Best Buy’s website where the Artisan series mixers on also on sale for $299 ($80 off) with free express shipping. Who knew a kitchen “workhorse” could also look so stylish we’d feel proud to keep it on the countertop year-round.

Surprisingly, Amazon is still selling KitchenAid mixers at regular price (a whopping $429 and only offering two colors as of today) and on most days of the year, similar KitchenAid mixers retail for $499.99. We see a few colors on Walmart marked down now but some popular colors are right at the $500 price. The KitchenAid website has low or no stock on Artisan mixers, so if you like the color and style of the Magnolia exclusive design, you may want to pick it up sooner than later before it sells out.

Here’s the deal: The last time we saw an even greater deal was earlier this year in March, from KitchenAid itself – which had a similar deal for $179, and in late October, Best Buy marked down their ink blue version to $199.99 with free shipping.  KitchenAid was also selling the model for $199 at the same time, but originally, only the black was marked down but there are now more options (black, red, or silver, but still no ink blue). They also added 10% off w/ promo code HAPPYANNI for a great price of $179.99 for these more classic colors. Meanwhile, Walmart is selling the five-quart KitchenAid Tilt-Lift Mixer for over $400. While not every color is available, you can get free two-day delivery and a Walmart protection plan on the more popular KitchenAid mixer.

Is it Worth It?

KitchenAid stand mixers are a popular — but notoriously pricey — wedding registry item, and this five-quart KitchenAid Bowl-Lift stand mixer — described in the past by Slickdealers as “Perfect for heavy, dense mixtures…. thoroughly mix, knead and whip ingredients quickly and easily” — is definitely a good deal. However, reviews for the bowl-lift version of the KitchenAid mixer are mixed, and many Slickdeals users actually prefer KitchenAid’s tilt-lift mixer.
KendalK Slickdealer says, “I have a bowl lift and love it,” citing steadier stability, but admits the tilt lift mixer makes changing attachments easier. Boomer’s had both but says the tilt-lift is easier and faster to use. User Susano notes that the gears are all plastic, as opposed to metal on the tilt lift.
Meanwhile, user flowingcove just hates it, adding that “It’s so annoying that you have to put your paddle/utensils into your food in the bowl in order to attach or remove them. It’s also harder to add some ingredients to the bowl unless you take the bowl off the machine…which requires you to remove the paddle first before you can get the bowl off. My mother has a tilt head, so much more efficient to use her machine.”
