Love Peloton, but don’t love the prices of their luxury hardware? Keep your eye on ProForm, an iFit-connected fitness equipment company that regularly runs too-good-to-be-true deals on treadmills, ellipticals and indoor stationary bikes (in April, ProForm gave away Peloton dupes with an app membership).

The Latest ProForm ‘Free’ Deal

Get the popular ProForm Carbon T7 Treadmill for free (yes, for free) when you sign up for a three-year membership to iFit, the fitness app that powers workouts on your shiny new treadmill.
With the iFit promo, your total annual cost comes out to just $1,403 — far less than the cost of most luxury at-home treadmills [cough, Peloton tread which starts at $4,295] and about the same as the usual list price of the Carbon T7 ($1,499). You’re essentially saving nearly $1,500 because typically you’d have to pay for both the treadmill and the iFit membership.

What You Will Pay

You pay $0 down, $39 per month for 36 months and 0% APR. Per the deal terms, on-time payments will pay off the promotional balance, and you’ll avoid the 29.99% APR (yikes) that would go into effect after your three-year membership is up. So really, there’s no catch, as long as you stick to your $39 per month payments.

App Gives You Virtual Running Partners and Worldly Locations to ‘Run’

Considering you’d probably want to use the iFit app anyway — there are no built-in workouts on the Carbon T7 — this is a phenomenal deal. The Carbon T7 is the perfect match for exercisers who want to walk, jog or run with the help of virtual running coaches and enjoy worldly scenery while they’re at it.
According to the deal terms, this offer is only available for a limited time, but the terms don’t specify an end date. To me, that reads, “Go order your treadmill now!” Also note that as of this writing, due to high demand, the Carbon T7 has a slight shipping delay.

This treadmill mimics the Peloton Tread in design with its luxe 7-inch Smart HD display and ProShox™ cushioning on the running deck. Designed for use with the interactive iFit app, the Carbon T7 can be automatically adjusted in real time by your virtual running coaches — more running for you with less hassle.
The Carbon T7 is also great for small spaces: It’s relatively compact at 20-inches by 55-inches, and it folds up for easy storage. It comes with a set of 2-inch speakers and an auxiliary port, so you can listen to music and coaching cues through your favorite earbuds or headphones if you want.
You don’t even have to renew your iFit membership after the three years: You can continue to use your ProForm Carbon T7 Treadmill manually, although you might miss running in exotic locations and having a personal trainer right in your ear. My guess is that most people will enjoy the iFit app and keep up their memberships after the promotional period.
There are some drawbacks to the ProForm Carbon T7, namely that it’s a compact model, so it might not feel comfortable for taller runners or more advanced runners with longer strides. It also has a 2.75 CHP motor, which is weaker than some treadmills, but it still supports a top speed of 12 MPH and an incline of 12 percent, which is plenty powerful enough for the everyday runner.

If the Carbon T7 doesn’t feel right for you, fret not. The iFit app syncs with plenty of other fitness equipment — its parent company ICON Health & Fitness owns several manufacturing brands. You can see all the treadmills that work with the iFit app here. The ProForm SMART Pro 9000NordicTrack T 8.5 S and Freemotion t8.9b all work with iFit, to name a few.
Or if you’re looking for a cheaper option, this Weslo Cadence Folding Treadmill on Amazon (prices start at $415) is a great affordable alternative and also works with the iFit app.
If you’re not ready to run out and purchase a treadmill today, set a Deal Alert so that you can be notified the next time there’s a deal like this.
