Walmart Black Friday Predictions for 2026

Walmart doesn’t run one Black Friday sale, it runs two, and last year the biggest deal of the season landed more than two weeks before Black Friday itself. That changes how you plan, since two launch dates, member early access and a Cyber Monday add-on make the calendar matter as much as the prices. Below is our read on Walmart’s 2026 schedule, a look back at the deals shoppers jumped on last year, and our picks for what returns. When Will Walmart’s Black Friday Sale Start Online?

We’re predicting the first event starts Friday, Nov. 13, and the second starts Tuesday, Nov. 24. Walmart has split Black Friday into two events in 2023, 2024 and 2025, with a mid-November event, a second one in Thanksgiving week and an online-only Cyber Monday. Last year the first event ran Nov. 14 to 16, the second ran Nov. 25 to 30 (online only through Thanksgiving, then online and in stores from Nov. 28), and Cyber Monday deals ran Dec. 1. Lined up against the 2026 calendar, with Thanksgiving on Nov. 26 and Black Friday on Nov. 27, that points to Nov. 13 to 15 for the first event, Nov. 24 to 29 for the second and Nov. 30 for Cyber Monday.

The first event has crept later every year, which is the part we’d watch. It began online on Wednesday, Nov. 8 in 2023 and Monday, Nov. 11 in 2024 before landing on Friday, Nov. 14 in 2025, so we’re betting on mid-November again but wouldn’t rule out a day or two of drift. The second event has been steadier, starting online on Nov. 22 in 2023 and Nov. 25 in both 2024 and 2025, always within a few days of Thanksgiving.

Walmart+ members get in first. Last year’s early access began at 7 p.m. ET the evening before each event (Nov. 13, Nov. 24 and, for Cyber Monday, Nov. 30) and lasted five hours, so we expect member access on the evenings of Nov. 12, Nov. 23 and Nov. 29. Walmart didn’t list a start time for everyone else in 2025, but five hours after 7 p.m. points to midnight ET, so that’s our guess for when prices go live for non-members. In 2024 regular shoppers got in at 5 p.m. ET and in 2023 at 3 p.m. ET, so check the announcement for the exact time.

Walmart has revealed its calendar in the last days of October each year (Oct. 31 in 2023, Oct. 28 in 2024 and Oct. 27 in 2025), so expect the official 2026 dates within the next week or two. Walmart hasn’t announced them yet, which means everything above is a prediction.

Will Walmart Be Open on Thanksgiving, and What Time Do Stores Open on Black Friday?

Plan on a closed Walmart on Thursday, Nov. 26. The company confirmed its stores were shut on Thanksgiving Day in 2025, and we don’t see a reason for that to change this year. Shopping carries on through the holiday on Walmart.com and the app. For Black Friday itself, doors reopened at 6 a.m. local time in both 2024 and 2025, which is our prediction for Nov. 27 too. Walmart hasn’t published closing times in its announcements, so confirm your store’s hours on its local page.

More than 3,600 Walmart deals were posted on Slickdeals last November, and these ten earned the highest deal scores. Apple took three of the ten spots and kitchen gear took three more, while a half-price Walmart+ membership, a $30 shop vacuum, a graphics card and a $15 video game filled out the rest.

Just How Big Was Walmart’s Black Friday? The Numbers Behind the Deals

Thread volume didn’t predict deal scores, either. Slickdeals members posted 3,600+ Walmart deals, and 371 reached a deal score of +30 or better. 160 Walmart deals that reached +50 and the 36 that broke +100 made for a solid month for shoppers. Six cleared +200, and Apple owned half of them: its 70 threads produced nine of the 36 deals over +100.

Thread volume didn’t predict deal scores, either. LEGO alone drew 156 threads, yet only one cleared +100, a $40 Star Wars Super Star Destroyer, while four of the 36 breakout deals were video games priced between $15 and $30.

The comments show shoppers trading tricks at least as often as they traded praise. On the half-price Walmart+ deal, one member’s tip for existing subscribers was “Annual membership hit cancel and you should see the offer. Worked here.” On the AirPods Pro 2, a buyer added “check your Amex card, got a 20% off coupon max $25. pretty sweet!” And on the $15 Elden Ring, the most relatable reply was “Good deal. Still haven’t opened my copy from last year for $20. The backlog is real.”

Walmart Black Friday 2026 Predictions: What We Expect on Sale

Start with Apple. AirPods Pro 2 at $139, AirPods 4 at $69 and the Apple Watch Series 10 at $249 all landed in the top ten last year, and AirPods Pro 3 hit $219.99 in a thread that scored +145. We expect similar deals to return. Any model Apple has replaced since then should be the one on clearance.

Cheap kitchen gear should return too. Two Gourmia air fryers at $40 and $57, a 32-piece Anchor Hocking set at $20 and a $35 Keurig K-Express (+164) all rewarded shoppers who wanted something small and useful, and Walmart’s own 2025 announcement promised thousands of deals under $20. Expect a similar wave of low-price home goods, along with another round of catalog video games at $15 to $30, since four of them cleared +100 last year.

And expect Walmart+ to be the through line. The $49 membership offer, half off the $98 list price, appeared in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and last year’s version scored +367 and was limited to new members through Dec. 2. Some people can actually take advantage of this offer now up until November 14. I doubt we’ll see prices lower than this during Black Friday, so you might as well get in on it now.

How to Get the Top Walmart Black Friday Deals

Be ready on the evenings that matter. Seven of last year’s top ten deals were posted on the day of an event’s 7 p.m. ET early access, four on Nov. 13 and three on Nov. 24, so those evenings count more than the weeks around them. Save alerts for the exact products you want before then, and read each thread’s deal score and price history so an “event price” has to prove itself against what the item has actually cost.

If you shop at Walmart often, Walmart+ is worth a look, since members see the deals five hours before everyone else and last year’s half-price offer ran through Dec. 2 for new members. And skim the thread discussion before you buy, because readers regularly point out card offers and membership workarounds that never show up on the product page.
