Reading Time: 2 minutesHome Depot is better known for power tools than throw pillows, but its Black Friday sale makes a good case for shopping there for your living room, too. Through Dec. 6, Home Depot is taking up to 40% off select furniture, decor and area rugs. That makes it a good time to refresh a room before guests arrive for the holidays, or to knock out a few gifts for the new homeowners on your list.
What’s Included in Home Depot’s Black Friday Home Decor Sale
The sale covers a wide mix of the home: sofas and accent chairs, dining sets, storage and display cabinets, mirrors, artificial plants and a big selection of area rugs in every size and style. Many of the deals are marked as Special Buys, so the best prices may not stick around for the whole sale. Here are three that stand out.
FUFU&GAGA Black Wood Display Cabinet: $169
This display cabinet has tempered glass doors and built-in LED lights in three colors, so it can show off anything from collectibles to your nicer glassware. Our community already likes it. It went Popular on Slickdeals at $189 in May, and Home Depot’s Black Friday price of $169 is the lowest we’ve seen on it. It’s regularly $270.
nuLOOM Quinn Washable 8′ x 10′ Area Rug: $199
An 8′ x 10′ rug is the go-to size for most living rooms, and this one is machine washable, so spills and muddy paws aren’t a big deal. In most living rooms, it’s big enough for the front legs of your sofa and chairs to sit on it, which makes the space feel more pulled together. The green color adds some life to a neutral room. At $199, it’s down from $369.99, which saves you over $170.
Storkcraft Santa Monica Power Recliner: $399
This is the biggest markdown of the three. The Storkcraft Santa Monica power recliner is half off its $799.99 regular price. It reclines at the push of a button, and the ivory basketweave fabric fits in easily with most decor. It’s a great pick for movie nights or to upgrade a reading corner. Just make sure there’s an outlet nearby, since the power recline needs to be plugged in.
