Some of Amazon’s biggest Black Friday hits last year weren’t TVs or laptops. They were a $3-a-month streaming plan, a $69 pair of earbuds and a $6 charging cable, which says a lot about how to shop Amazon in November. Here’s when we expect Black Friday Week to start in 2026, which deals topped last year’s list and which ones we expect to return. Slickdeals alerts can watch for the items you want, so you don’t have to keep checking our site.

When Will Amazon’s Black Friday Sale Start Online?

Our prediction: Black Friday Week starts Thursday, Nov. 19, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. PT, and the Cyber Monday event starts Saturday, Nov. 28. Amazon opened Black Friday Week at 12:01 a.m. PT on the Thursday one week before Thanksgiving in both 2024 (Nov. 21) and 2025 (Nov. 20), after a Friday, Nov. 17 start in 2023. Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 26 this year, so the equivalent day this year is Thursday, Nov. 19, and we’d expect the main event to run through Black Friday on Nov. 27.

Cyber Monday has been its own event that starts over the weekend. In 2024 Amazon’s Cyber Monday deals ran from Saturday, Nov. 30 through Monday, Dec. 2, and in 2025 they ran from Saturday, Nov. 29 through Monday, Dec. 1. Following that pattern, we expect Cyber Monday deals from Saturday, Nov. 28 through Monday, Nov. 30.

You won’t necessarily have to wait for the official start, either. Early discounts appeared ahead of Black Friday Week in both 2024 and 2025. Amazon confirmed its dates in early-to-mid November in 2023 (Nov. 5) and 2024 (Nov. 13), which suggests the 2026 schedule will become official within two to three weeks. Until then, every date above is a prediction.

Will Amazon Run Black Friday Deals on Thanksgiving, and Do You Need Prime?

Yes to Thanksgiving. Black Friday Week ran straight through Thanksgiving Day in both 2024 and 2025, so there are no store hours to plan around and no reason to wait out Thursday, Nov. 26. Prime is a different question. It wasn’t required for every deal, but members tagged 541 of last November’s Amazon threads as Prime-member prices, and 18 of them broke +100, including a $90 standing desk (+392) and a $12 Starz annual plan (+298). A few of the biggest deals were also tied to specific accounts, like the HBO Max plan for select accounts with a Fire device, so the thread is where you confirm whether you qualify.

Amazon’s Best Black Friday 2025 Deals Recap

Slickdeals members posted more than 15,000 Amazon deals in November, and the ten below scored highest. Apple took four spots (a gift card, two pairs of AirPods and a MacBook Air), streaming and audiobook plans took two, and a standing desk, a card-points offer, a six-dollar cable and Amazon’s used-item markdowns rounded out the list.

Just How Big Was Amazon’s Black Friday? The Numbers Behind the Deals

Amazon’s November was a firehose. Members posted 15,000+ deals, and 2,010 reached a deal score of +30 or better. 721 reached +50, 152 broke +100 and 38 cleared +200, which adds up to standouts at every price point.

The top of the list skewed toward small purchases. More than half of the 152 deals over +100 carried a price of $20 or less, and about a third were $10 or less, from a $3.79 tire pressure gauge (+217) to a $2.96 tub of spackling (+216). Many of those prices depended on a coupon code, a Subscribe & Save discount or Prime membership. But I think it’s safe to say most Slickdealers are Prime members at this point and frequent users of S&S discounts.

Apple and streaming plans were the exceptions that climbed highest. Apple appeared in 13 of the 152 deals over +100 and five of the 38 over +200, with AirPods alone accounting for six of the 13. Four of the 38 deals over +200 were streaming or audiobook subscriptions, led by a $3-a-month HBO Max plan that outscored every other Amazon deal of the month.

The comments are where shoppers worked out what a deal really bought them. On the HBO Max plan, one reader moved an existing subscription over and reported, “I was able to switch the same plan that I currently have for $4.50 to $2.99.” On the $69 AirPods 4, the top-voted reply steered buyers upward: “For $30 more, absolutely get the version with ANC.” And on the Apple eGift Card deal, a reader flagged the fine print: “Note that the $15 promo credit is not like a regular Amazon gift card.” Each is a reminder to check which version, plan or kind of credit you’re actually getting before you buy.

Amazon Black Friday 2026 Predictions: What We Expect on Sale

Expect streaming and membership promotions to return. HBO Max, Audible, Starz and Amazon’s Prime Video Channels sale all scored above +200 last year, and each was a steep introductory price on a service people already wanted. We’d plan on another round of starter prices, a few dollars a month for the first stretch, often limited to new members or select accounts.

On Apple, AirPods 4 at $69 (or $99 with noise cancellation), the M4 MacBook Air at $750 and the $15 Amazon credit that came with a $100 Apple eGift Card all made the top ten. We expect the same product lines back, with the deepest cuts on whichever generation Amazon is moving out, and we’d bet on another Apple gift card promotion, since last year’s scored +495.

Everyday items under $20 should dominate again, since they made up more than half of the deals over +100: cables, chargers, batteries, tools and Subscribe & Save household staples. Amazon’s own markdowns are worth watching too. Four Warehouse and Resale offers topped +100 last year, with the up-to-30%-off used-item sale at +330 out in front, and three pay-with-points card offers did too, including the 40% Citi ThankYou deal at +358.

How to Get the Top Amazon Black Friday Deals

Start by checking who a deal is for. Several of last year’s biggest Amazon deals were aimed at specific people: the HBO Max plan needed a select account with a Fire device, Audible’s offer was for new or select returning members, and the Starz plan was for Prime members. The thread usually shows who qualified, so skim the replies before you spend time on checkout.

Then move quickly on anything that relies on a code. Many of the cheapest hits needed a promo code or an on-page coupon, and readers on the Apple eGift Card thread reported the code failing by the end of the sale. Apply the code before you check out, confirm the final price in your cart, and let Slickdeals alerts tell you about the drop and the code at the same time.

Why Check Slickdeals for Amazon Deals?

Amazon changes prices constantly and rarely says why. On Slickdeals, members post the price they saw, vote on whether it’s actually good, and flag it when a code stops working or a price creeps back up, so this guide reflects what shoppers confirmed, not what Amazon promoted.
