Every week in August, when you donate new or gently worn shoes at your local DSW, the retailer is offering up a $10 reward until August 31st. With 4 weeks still left in August to donate shoes, you can earn up to $40 in credit towards new purchases.
Even if you have shoes that you’ve never gotten around to wearing, you can give them a new home and also save on your next DSW purchase.
Slick Tip: Add your birthdate to your profile to receive 10 VIP Points, and when your birthday month rolls around, you’ll receive a $5 off reward. In addition, get $10 off your order by providing your email.
Shipping is free as a VIP member, and depending on your location and availability, in-store and curbside pickup might be available.

How To Get Your Cash Rewards in August at DSW

Log into or register for a DSW VIP Rewards Account (free to join).
Bring your new or gently worn shoes to any DSW location.
Let one of the store associates know that you’d like to donate, and add your shoes to the donation box. You can recycle adult and kids’ shoes, and it doesn’t matter what size or style.
The store associate will then apply 200 points to your DSW VIP account.
You may donate weekly through August 31st and accumulate multiple $10 rewards to be used in-store and online.

Claiming Your $10 Reward is Easy According to Deal Hunters Who Already Donated Shoes

Don’t worry, the process of donating and receiving the reward is quite simple. One Slickdealer who recently recycled some sandals shared, “They took my flip-flops. Just gave my phone/account number to the cashier and dropped the shoes in the donation box.“
Another commented, “My mother and I went to DSW yesterday to donate. She created a new account before we went (made no purchase-just be sure to add birthday) After we left the store she checked her account and it had $10 on it.”
