Is This a Good Deal?
While this isn’t the best deal we’ve seen for combo kits from Home Depot, the Slickdeals community agrees that the free batteries are really the highlight here. This was reiterated by Slickdealer ancorder with a short anecdote of their experience with the product:
This is a good deal if you’re short on batteries. The price for a tool and two batteries is pretty good, and in my opinion these 3Ah batteries are the sweet spot. Last a long time in my applications (currently remodeling my entire second floor) and helps with some of the new brushless tools. The typical 1.3Ah or 1.5Ah ones that come in the kits are fine for things like the radio or a flashlight, but for actual motorized tools you want a little more oomph and capacity.
For beginner DIYers, knowing what tools to get can also be a little overwhelming. But ancorder continues on with their review by giving an insightful list of tools for anyone new to the game. The Slickdeals community is home to many power tool enthusiasts and aficionados, so don’t hesitate to browse the comments section of the deal thread for more helpful information.
