Amazon has officially confirmed that Prime Big Deal Days 2026 will run October 6-7, kicking off at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and running for 48 hours straight. The sale is open to Prime members only and will cover deals across 35+ categories, from electronics and apparel to Halloween costumes, groceries and holiday gifts.

If you’re one of the few people who ahve yet to sign-up for a Prime membership, you can start a free 30-day trial before the event. Prime runs $14.99/month or $139/year. If you’re between 18 and 24, Prime for Young Adults is $7.49/month with a six-month free trial, plus 5% cash back on essentials during PBDD. Qualifying government-assistance recipients can access Prime for $6.99/month through Prime Access.

What to Expect During Prime Big Deal Days 2026

Amazon is rolling out new deals three times a day through its “Today’s Big Deals” feature: at midnight, 8 a.m., and 1 p.m. PDT. That means there will be fresh drops throughout both days rather than a single wave of deals at launch.

Confirmed deal categories include Halloween (costumes from $5, candy under $10), fall hosting, game day, holiday gifting early, and Amazon Haul items starting from $1. Haul deals were by far the most popular deals during last year’s PBDD. On the grocery side, Amazon has teased some specific highlights: $3 Dietz and Watson salami, $1 Sabra Hummus, $1 Amazon Kitchen Pico de Gallo, and avocados 3 for $1. So if you’re looking for pantry staples, you can expect plenty of deals to stock up on.

Featured brands at launch include Shark, Princess Polly, Soundcore by ANKER, and FAO Schwarz, which is getting a dedicated Amazon storefront for the first time.

Alexa Is Getting New Shopping Features for the Event

Amazon is leaning into Alexa for Prime Big Deal Days this year. New and updated features include deal alerts (we have those as well, don’t forget!), 365-day price history across more than 100 million products, and the ability to set an auto-buy trigger at a target price. You can also ask Alexa, “Are any items on my list on deal right now?” to quickly surface relevant discounts on your saved products.

Fast Delivery Options for Prime Members

Amazon is pushing fast fulfillment for the event. Prime Air drone delivery is available in select areas for 30-minute delivery, and Amazon Now offers 30-minute grocery delivery. For broader availability, same-day delivery windows of 1-hour and 3-hour options are available, with next-day delivery in more than 10,000 cities across the US. Last December, Amazon ran a “Thank My Driver” promotion that let customers tip their delivery driver through Alexa, with Amazon picking up the $5 tab. If that will be live for Prime Big Deal Days, it’ll be worth taking a few seconds to use it.
