When you make up your mind to take a trip, chances are you’d like to find the best deal on travel accommodations. You could spend copious amounts of time scouring the internet, comparing rates on various booking sites before finally making your reservation—or you could just use Snaptravel. All you have to do is send a message.

Acting as a virtual travel agent via messaging, Snaptravel offers customers specially negotiated rates in a private one-on-one chat. By cutting out the middleman (i.e. online travel-booking sites) and utilizing AI to search for rates that aren’t available to the public, Snaptravel is able to provide exclusive pricing.

And it can all be done from the convenience of your mobile device. “It’s as easy as messaging a friend,” as they say on their site.

What Is Snaptravel?

Founded in 2016, Snaptravel is a virtual travel-agent system that uses AI and algorithms to bring customers the cheapest rates for hotels that aren’t available through other booking sites. To offer a more personalized way of booking trips, they use chatbots to communicate individually with their customers via private message. You can even chat with a live agent, if you prefer.

Snapchat has grown their network to include nearly 500,000 hotels worldwide and millions of monthly users. And it seems as though they have a lot of happy customers on their hands—just check out Snaptravel’s 4.4 out of 5 stars and nearly 25,000 reviews on Trustpilot.

As one reviewer said, “This site was super easy to use and I was able to get the best deal for a hotel that I had already seen on [other sites] for more. Will definitely use again for future travel!”

How It Works

You start by sending a message (via SMS, Facebook Messenger, or WhatsApp) with your destination and desired dates. Within seconds, you’ll get a message back with a link to all of your available hotel deals.

From there, you can filter the results by star rating, price, location, or savings. You have the option to switch to map view, enter in a specific budget range, or look for particular amenities, like a pool or being pet friendly. You can also browse through hotels on the desktop experience if that’s what you prefer.

Snaptravel also offers deals on airfare and car rentals. The process for booking these works more like traditional travel-booking sites, where you enter your desired location and dates and choose the best deal that fits your needs.

Let’s Take a Trip

I’ve been dreaming of a summer vacation in Paris, so I thought I would explore the process of what it would be like to book a Parisian hotel using Snaptravel.

I started by sending a message via Facebook Messenger with my destination and desired dates. A few seconds later, I received a message with a list of hotel deals to choose from (523 different hotels, to be exact).

After filtering by location, I settled on a boutique hotel in the Faubourg-Montmartre district, called Hôtel Eugène en Ville, because it’s highly rated, looks super stylish, and is located within walking distance to many top sightseeing spots.

The deal I was offered was $178 per night. When I entered the same dates into other popular travel-booking sites, the price range was between $216 and $218. That’s a savings of $280 for a weeklong stay!

Just to be sure, I checked a few different hotel deals against the other travel sites, and every time the Snaptravel rates were cheaper. If I were to actually reserve a room, all it would take would be a few simple clicks, and my travel adventure would be ready and waiting.

Right now, Snaptravel is running a Slickdeals-exclusive promo where you get a coupon for 5% off the existing 30-50% discounted rates for hotel bookings and VIP Packages. Use code SLICKDEALS5 during checkout to cash in!
