  • Pokémon Legends: Arceus Release Date: January 28th, 2022
  • Editions Available: Standard
  • Platforms: Nintendo Switch
  • MSRP: Standard – $59.99

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a wild new take on the long-running Pokémon format. Instead of taking place in a world in which Pokémon and humans coexist and work in harmony, Arceus brings you to a bygone era of the Sinnoh region – and it’s up to you to complete its first-ever Pokédex.

Pre-Order Pokémon Legends: Arceus on Amazon

To go along with this bold narrative is a daring new gameplay style that is making several changes to the standard turn-based battles fans have grown accustomed to. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will see you sneaking through an open world, observing wild Pokémon in real-time and finding unique ways to traverse its massive environment. Arceus is clearly taking cues from Breath of the Wild, and we’re excited to see how the final product turns out.
It all looks wildly ambitious, and its latest trailer only made the wait for January 28th more difficult.

The Best Pre-Order Deals for Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pre-orders have officially opened for Pokémon Legends: Arceus, although there aren’t any available deals that drop its price significantly yet. However, plenty of retailers are offering bonuses for customers who pre-purchase the title.
Regardless of where you pre-order Arceus you’ll be entitled to the in-game Hisuian Growlithe Kimono Set – a costume inspired by one of the Hisui region’s most popular Pokémon.
Pokémon Center
The Pokémon Center currently has the only physical pre-order bonus – and it’s actually a pretty cool one. Order Pokémon Legends: Arceus through this retailer and you’ll receive an Arceus Sitting Cuties Plush. It might not ship the same day as the game, but it’s a cool perk nonetheless.

Nintendo eShop
If you download and install the game before May 9th, 2022, you’ll receive 30 Heavy Balls to help improve your chances of catching rare Pokémon.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Also Up For Pre-Order

If you’d rather stick with a traditional Pokémon outing, you’ll be happy to know that both Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are also up for pre-order – and are scheduled to launch on November 19th.
Better yet, all pre-orders include a free Manaphy Egg that can be accessed through the Mystery Gift function. You’ll need to put in about two hours of game time to unlock the cool feature, although we’re sure most fans will clock that much playtime within 24 hours of its release.
Pokémon Center
Pick up the Double Pack containing both games and you’ll get plush key chains of all three Sinnoh starters. Pick up either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl and you’ll get one random plush keychain.

Nintendo eShop
Purchase and download either game before February 21st, 2022 and you’ll get 12 Quick Balls – 24 if you opt for the Double Pack.

Don’t Miss Out on This Exclusive Pokémon-Themed Switch Lite

As if three Pokémon games weren’t enough, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo also revealed a new Switch Lite console that features Dialga and Palkia. It’s not currently up for pre-order, although it is officially listed on Nintendo’s website. If you’re hoping to pick it up before it sells out, you’ll need to move fast when its listing finally opens up.
Expect to see the product listed at other retailers such as AmazonGameStop, and Walmart – so make sure you’re shopping around if it sells out on your preferred storefront.
