Earlier this year, Ubisoft debuted a trailer for the sixth installment in its long-running Far Cry series. Though there aren’t many pre-order discounts available, you can still receive bonus digital content when opting for a pre-order. While the game was originally set to be released February 18th, that date has been pushed back, and Ubisoft recently confirmed the release date will be October 7th, 2021.

Giancarlo Esposito – best known for his role as Gus in Breaking Bad – is prominently featured in the four-minute reveal trailer, and the game lets users fight in a guerilla revolution to liberate the fictional island of Yara. View the chilling premiere trailer below.

The Best Pre-Order Deals for Far Cry 6

Both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions come with a free upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, so you won’t have to worry about making a second purchase when upgrading to the next generation. Anyone who pre-orders Far Cry 6 will also receive the following digital content:

Which Version Of Far Cry 6 Should I Order?

There are four different versions of Far Cry 6 available for pre-order, along with a Steelbook upgrade for the Gold and Ultimate editions at various retailers. Each one comes with more content than the last, ending with the massive Collector’s Edition.

Far Cry 6 Standard Edition – $59.99

You’ll get the base game along with the aforementioned pre-order bonuses (Discos Locos and Libertad Chorizo). If you decide to go with the Standard Edition, be sure to check out Walmart’s current discount.

Far Cry 6 Gold Edition – $99.99

The Gold Edition will get you the base game, pre-order bonuses and the Season Pass which comes with three DLC packs:

  • Beware the Dictator
  • The Jewel of the Caribbean
  • A Nation Stranded in the Past

You can also opt for a physical Steelbook edition for an extra $10 if you’re looking to gussy up your gaming collection.

Far Cry 6 Ultimate Edition – $119.99

The Ultimate Edition comes with everything previously mentioned along with the Ultimate DLC pack. This includes the following skins:

  • Croc Hunter
  • Vice
  • Jungle Expedition

You can pick this up in Steelbook form exclusively at GameStop for an extra $10, but unless you’re really into cosmetics, we’d suggest giving this one a pass and sticking with the Gold Edition.

Collector’s Edition – $199.99
