Launched by actress Kate Hudson in 2013, Fabletics has made it easy to find fashionable athleisure clothing in inclusive sizes for under $50. With both an online presence and physical stores in select locations, navigating Fabletics’ premium clothing options and the subscription process can be a bit overwhelming. Fabletics is a member-based online store (it does have physical store locations too) for fitness clothing and accessories for men and women. While Kate Hudson is the face of Fabletics, the company was founded by her and two business partners, Don Ressler and Adam Goldenberg. The company is primarily owned by TechStyle Fashion Group, which also owns similar subscription fashion brands like JustFab, ShoeDazzle and FabKids.
How Does a Fabletics Subscription Work?
The key to Fabletics is becoming a VIP member, which comes with various perks:
- Purchase an outfit every month, or skip a month: Fabletics VIP members can either purchase an outfit every month at a discounted price or skip the month to avoid the fee. There is no limit to how many times you can skip a month.
- VIP pricing: Signing up for a Fabletics VIP membership allows you to unlock VIP member pricing, along with the popular deal of two leggings for $24 (up to a $179.99 value).
- Free access to Fabletics FIT app: VIP Members have full access to on-demand workouts led by trainers through the Fabletics FIT app.
- Free shipping and free returns: You can get free shipping on orders over $49.95 along with free returns and exchanges for purchases within 45 days.
- No cancellation fees: There are no cancellation fees and members can cancel at any time. So if you want to cancel after your first purchase, you can do so without being charged a fee for canceling. You can cancel by calling a customer service representative or using the online chat feature.
While anyone can shop Fabletics without a membership, you will pay retail guest prices, which can be as much as double the Fabletics VIP membership price.
The first step in becoming a Fabletics VIP member is completing a lifestyle quiz, where it will ask you about your fitness routine, gym/studio preferences, body type and favorite colors. Based on these answers, Fabletics will curate a selection of products that best fits your lifestyle, but you can still shop for other styles and have access to the whole store.

How Much Does the Fabletics VIP Membership Cost?
After your initial purchase as a VIP member, you’ll be eligible to purchase an outfit (top, bottom and/or sports bra) starting at $49.95 each, every month. There’s no cost to become a VIP member, but you must take an action every month — buy an outfit or skip the month. Even if you skip a month, you can still access VIP pricing. You have the first five days of the month to either buy or skip, or you will be charged $49.95, which becomes a store credit, a.k.a Member Credit. Even if you sign up for a VIP Membership on the 31st of the month, you will then have to make a purchase or skip the next month within five days.
How Do I Use Fabletics Member Credits?
While you’re an active member, a Member Credit can be redeemed for any outfit or item up to $80 on the site or in-store. However, if you don’t use your credits for 12 months, they will expire. If you have Member Credits you want to use, you will need to first take action for your current month before you are allowed to spend your credit. You can either purchase an outfit for $49.95 or skip the month. Then you can use your remaining Member Credit how you choose.
How To Skip a Month on Fabletics
Don’t want to be charged for holding a VIP Fabletic Membership? Then skip a month. If you visit your online account between the 1st and 5th of every month, you will have the opportunity to skip the month. A window on your homepage should say “skip this month.” Click on that and follow the prompts until you have successfully skipped the month. You can also call the customer service number (1-844-322-5384) to skip the month. If you forget to skip the month in time, Fabletics offers a one-time courtesy refund of the $49.95 Member Credit.
What is the Fabletics Return Policy?
Fabletics offers free returns and exchanges for U.S. and Canadian orders within 60 days from the date of shipment and in new, unused condition with the original packaging. Just log into your account and print a return label. Adhere the label to your original package and drop it off at the closest drop-off shipping location.
How To Save Money on Fabletics
1. Take Advantage of Your Member Credits
Even though you can use VIP pricing if you skip the month, the best value at Fabletics is taking advantage of that $49.95 outfit credit. The credit can be used on any outfit up to $80, so look for the outfits that come with three pieces instead of two to get the most bang for your buck. This Unstoppable 3-Piece Outfit, for example, costs $139.85 for non-members, $79.95 for members, or you can use your $49.95 outfit credit to purchase it, making each piece only $16.65.
2. Buy Outfits with Sweaters

3. Don’t Pay for Shipping
Don’t waste money on shipping charges by spending less than $49.95. Make sure your orders meet the free shipping minimum so you aren’t charged for shipping. If there is something you don’t like, you can always return it later for free.
How To Cancel Fabletics Membership
Want to know how to cancel Fabletics? Thankfully the company has made it very simple. You can cancel anytime online via chat or through your account page. You can also call their 24/7 customer service line at 1-844-322-5384. There is no cancellation fee. Any Member Credit you have can still be used after your account is canceled. However, it is better to use your Member Credit before canceling to make sure you can access the VIP pricing for your credit versus the retail guest pricing. Canceled account or not, Member Credit expires 12 months after you purchase it.
