Reading Time: 2 minutesJust in time for Halloween, NBC was able to conjure up a spell to include all eight Harry Potter movies on Peacock. That means you’ll be able to stream Harry Potter movies for free starting in October 2020.
The Potter series will remain free on Peacock during select time windows from October until March 2021. HBO Max originally held the streaming rights for the wizarding phenomenon, but that is set to expire August 25 (until then, though, you can get a free seven-day trial of HBO Max here). Unlike HBO Max, which had all of the films available to stream at once, Peacock’s streaming will be a little clunkier.

Not all Potter films will be available at the same time — instead, Peacock will stagger their release dates. While you’ll be able to stream the movies for free, you’ll have to plan your Potter binge strategically.

Peacock has a paid Premium and Premium Plus plan (which will run you $4.99/month and $9.99/month, respectively), but all users will be able to stream the Harry Potter movies and many more popular shows and films for free with the basic account that includes ads.
While you wait for Harry Potter to hit the platform, you can watch one these other notable titles coming to Peacock this month: Bourne Identity, The Graduate and E.T: The Extra Terrestrial. Viewers can also look forward to original shows like A.P. Bio, Departure and Psych 2 hitting the platform in September.
