If you’ve been anxious to add some new Gundam collectibles to your collection, the wait is over. A new Gundam deal has finally swooped in to our Frontpage.
Now through July 30thBarnes & Noble is offering select Gundam Collectibles for 25% off, and you can get an additional 10% off your entire order by punching in the promo code JULY10. You can pick up these bad boys for free in-store where available, or get free shipping on orders over $35. Otherwise, shipping is a flat $4.99.

Check the Sale

New Barnes & Noble online customers are also eligible for an extra 15% off discount code. When visiting the site, a pop-up allows you to redeem the promo simply by plugging in your email address.
And don’t worry about checking your email for the code. It’s provided for you in a banner at the top of your browser to apply in cart. Unfortunately, the two promos do not stack and the additional 15% (use before July 30th) can only be applied to one item.
With so many Gundams to choose from, you may find it hard to decide which one to grace your home with. To give you some guidance, we put together a small sample of recommendations from the Slickdeals community.

Understanding the Gundam Models and More

Looking over the product names, you may be wondering what the “RG”, “MG” and “HGBD” is all about. Lucky for us, Slickdealer DVD7227 explains it:
“So a good way to start out for anyone is to start with a HG and move yourself up from there. See if you like building them first and, if you really like it, move up to another grade if the hobby becomes interesting.
There are 3 popular grades: HG *High Grade (Beginner), RG *Real Grade (Intermediate), and MG *Master Grade (Difficult).”
While these Gundam kits seem like a great present for kids, it’s important to note that the age suggestion is 15 and older.
DuoMaxwell003 pointed this out and recommended to another Slickdealer that “these are model kits that are pose-able like action figures. They have some very small parts that are easy to lose/misplace. You could try any of the Gundam SD kits. They have less pieces that are larger.”
These are just a few things to take into consideration while you browse the selection. Who knows, this could be the next hobby for you or your child!

Catch Up on the Gundam Series on Crunchyroll for Free

If you need a refresher on everything that went down in the Gundam universe, Crunchyroll is offering a 14-day free trial of Premium Access for new subscribers. While it is not as good as the 30-day free trial we saw a couple of months ago, it’s still plenty of time to get your Gundam binge on.

To avoid being charged, make sure to cancel the trial before its end. But if you enjoyed it, the anime-dedicated streaming service is $7.99 a month — cheaper than Netflix.
If you enjoyed this discount on Gundams and would like to find out about more future sales, make sure to set up a Deal Alert.
