Additionally, A-List members enjoy all the benefits of an AMC Stubs Premiere membership, like free popcorn and drink upgrades, and birthday goodies (but more on that in a bit). Plus, you can reserve your seat online as soon as tickets go on sale.

How Does AMC Stubs Membership Work?
Using your AMC Stubs membership is easy. Here’s how you get started:
- Reserve your movie online: As an AMC Stubs A-List member, you can make reservations online or through the AMC mobile app for up to three movies a week at no cost beyond the monthly fee.
- Visit an AMC and show your ticket on the app: Just show your app at the ticket stand and concession stand to use your perks, and you are on your way to an amazing cinema experience.
- Enjoy your three movies a week: Start watching the movies you want. You can do a movie marathon and catch three movies all in the same day or spread them out over the week.
New AMC A-List members have a three-month non-cancelable commitment. After that, you can opt-out of recurring billing at any time. Otherwise, you’ll be charged the monthly fee on the same date each month.
Note: If you don’t show up for your movie, the movie will still count as one of your three movies for that week and you still will be charged the full membership fee for that month.
How to Find Your AMC Stubs Number
You can find your AMC Stubs membership number, as well as your virtual card, stored credit cards and gift cards, under the “Wallet” tab on your AMC Stubs Dashboard. Your membership is fully digital and can be accessed through the AMC app.
However, if you are at the theater without your account number or app, a crew member can still look up your account via phone number or email address.
Does the AMC Stubs A-List Offer Family Plans?
No. The AMC Stubs A-List is for one person only – the account holder. Before your movie, you’ll be required to show a valid photo ID for admittance into the theater. This means that you’ll have to purchase a plan for each member of your family or buy a normal ticket at the box office.
How Does AMC Stubs A-List Compare to AMC’s Other Loyalty Programs?
AMC currently offers two additional loyalty programs: AMC Stubs Insider and AMC Stubs Premiere. Here’s how they stack up.

AMC A-List Club | $19.95 per month
Perks include:
- See up to three movies each week
- Free refills on large popcorns
- Free upgrades to popcorn and fountain drink size
- Discounted Tuesday tickets
- Online reservation fee waived every time
- Free birthday reward – a large popcorn and large fountain drink

A-List members won’t receive points for movie tickets they reserve through their A-List plan though, since that’s included in their membership fees. They will, however, earn points on any additional tickets or concession stand purchases. Points can be redeemed at the concession stand or on additional tickets that are not part of the membership.
And if you’re concerned about earning points, A-Listers will still earn 100 points for every $1 they spend at AMC Theatres, but they’ll also earn 100 points for every $1 they spend on their monthly memberships. That means that every $50 spent earns you 5,000 points, which equals a $5 reward. Essentially, that translates to a 10% credit toward future AMC purchases.
What If I’m Already an AMC Stubs Premiere Member?
If you’re already an AMC Stubs Premiere member and upgrade to A-List status, AMC will pause your current Premiere membership. That way, if you ever decide to cancel A-List, your Premiere membership will be reinstated for whatever time you had left on your plan. Premiere members can also keep using their current membership cards at the theater if they’re so inclined.
How to Cancel AMC Stubs
Canceling your AMC A-List account is easy and pretty straightforward. Here are the steps:
- Navigate to View Plan details of your A-List account.
- Click on View Plan details.
- Click on Cancel Plan and follow the instructions provided.
However, canceling your membership does come with some stipulations:
- You can cancel at any time, however, if you still fall within the “Initial Commitment” period, you will be charged for the remaining months and your service will not end until the commitment period is over.
- If you don’t cancel at least five days before your next billing date, you will have to pay new charges.
- Once you cancel your account, you will not be able to rejoin for six months.
Is AMC Stubs A-List Worth It?
If you’re a movie lover, yes, AMC Stubs A-List is absolutely worth it! Considering that the average movie ticket price is a little over $9 if you see more than two movies each month, the membership basically pays for itself. That’s a pretty good deal, even if you’re not going to the theater every weekend. The additional savings on refills and size upgrades don’t hurt this deal either. We all know how expensive those concession snacks can get!
