Reading Time: 5 minutes

LEGO sets have a way of ending up in every generation’s shopping cart, whether it’s a kid’s birthday gift, a 2,000-piece build for an adult collector or a Star Wars ship that somehow counts as home decor. The catalog spans dozens of themes, and the bigger sets can run well into the hundreds of dollars.

That’s where the discounts come in. Insiders members earn points toward money off future orders, students get a free gift on larger purchases and the sale section runs up to 70% off. Read on for every current LEGO promo code and deal worth knowing before you build your cart.

Turn Purchases Into Discounts With LEGO Insiders

LEGO Insiders is LEGO’s free loyalty program, and members earn points on every purchase at Lego.com and participating LEGO Stores. Bonus points are also available for registering sets, taking surveys and other brand engagement.

Points can be redeemed for the following:

  • A discount code at checkout (650 points)
  • Exclusive LEGO sets
  • Digital rewards
  • Event tickets
  • Sweepstakes entries

Redemption happens through the Insiders Rewards Center, and available rewards rotate often, so it’s worth checking regularly.

Watch for double points events, too. These are announced in the Insiders newsletter and give members a chance to earn faster, so signing up for the emails is worth it if you shop LEGO regularly.

Students Get a Free Gift on LEGO Orders of $180 or More

Verified students who spend $180 or more on Lego.com get a free gift with their order while supplies last. Verification is handled through Student Beans and takes about two minutes.

To verify, sign up for a free Student Beans account using any of the following:

  • Student email address
  • Student ID card
  • Transcript or similar document

Once verified, the free gift is added automatically to qualifying orders at checkout.

Shop the LEGO Sale for Up to 70% Off

The LEGO Sale section carries discounted sets, apparel and accessories, and sale prices apply automatically at checkout with no code needed. Categories include seasonal and holiday sets, key chains, plush toys, apparel and calendars. Discounts run up to 70% off.

Here are a few current standouts:

  • Fennec Shand Key Chain: $1.79 (was $5.99, 70% off)
  • Hermione Granger Plush: $16.19 (was $26.99, 40% off)
  • Harry Potter Key Light: $10.19 (was $16.99, 40% off)
  • Adult Pyjamas in Navy: $38.79 (was $49.99, 22% off)

For the deepest sitewide markdowns, plan to shop around Star Wars Day on May 4, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Score Free Gifts With Qualifying LEGO Purchases

LEGO regularly runs gift-with-purchase promotions that automatically add a free set to your order once you hit the spend threshold or buy a qualifying item. The gift applies at checkout without a promo code. Thresholds and gifts rotate frequently by theme and season, and some are exclusive to Lego Insiders members.

Here are a few recent promotions:

  • Ditto as Squirtle Movie Night ($19.99 value): Free with an order of $130 or more in Pokémon SMART Play sets.
  • Kanto Region Badge Collection ($29.99 value): Free with a purchase of the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set.
  • X-Files: Scully’s Lab ($19.99 value): Free with a purchase of The X-Files set.

Get Free Shipping on LEGO Orders of $35 or More

LEGO offers free standard shipping on orders of $35 or more within the contiguous U.S., and no promo code is required. The $35 minimum applies to merchandise before discounts and excludes taxes.

For orders under $35, LEGO charges a flat shipping rate:

  • Orders under $25: $4.95
  • Orders between $25.01 and $34.99: $6.95

Standard shipping takes three to five business days. Delivery to rural addresses adds another three days. In-stock orders placed before 12 p.m. EST ship the next business day.

If you need it faster, Next Day Delivery is available for a fee starting at $14.95, and the exact cost depends on your order value.

Get LEGO Magazine for Free

LEGO mails out a free print magazine five times a year, and you just need a free LEGO account to sign up.

Each 28-page issue is built for kids ages 5 to 9 and offers a screen-free mix of activities, comics, build ideas and posters featuring popular LEGO sets and characters.

Give a LEGO Gift Card That Never Expires

LEGO Gift Cards and e-Gift Cards don’t expire, so recipients can use them whenever they’re ready to shop. Both are available on Lego.com.

Gift cards also stack with promo codes at checkout, so a recipient doesn’t have to choose between paying with a gift card and applying a discount.

Just know that you won’t earn loyalty points through LEGO Insiders when you buy a gift card, but the recipient will earn them when they spend it.

How to Use a LEGO Promo Code

Here’s how to apply a LEGO promo code at checkout:

  1. Add your sets to the bag and click the bag icon in the top-right corner to open “My Bag.”
  2. Click “Add a promo/LEGO Insiders discount code” in the Order Summary panel to expand the code field.
  3. Enter your code and click “Apply.”
  4. Confirm the discount appears in your Order Total before clicking “Checkout Securely.”

If your code doesn’t work, first double-check that you entered it exactly right. Make sure there are no typos and no extra spaces at the beginning or end. If the code is correct but still won’t apply, the issue is usually an eligibility rule.

LEGO only allows one promo code per order, so adding a second will replace the first instead of combining them. Most codes also exclude LEGO exclusives, pre-orders and gift card purchases, and some require a minimum spend or apply only to a specific product line.
