Reading Time: < 1 minuteBest Buy used to charge gamers a yearly fee for its Gamers Club perks. Its new Best Buy Gamers profile flips that around: signing up costs nothing, and Best Buy will add a free $5 reward certificate to your account for doing it. The catches are a 200,000-signup cap and a certificate that expires fast, so timing your next purchase matters.
Here’s what you’ll need to know to cash in on this offer:
How to Get a Free $5 Best Buy Reward Certificate
You’ll need a My Best Buy membership, which is free to join, with a valid email address linked to the account. Sign in first, then create your profile through the Best Buy Gamers offer. The promotion runs from October 20 through December 31, 2026, or until the first 200,000 members sign up, whichever comes first.
The $5 certificate doesn’t show up right away. Best Buy says it lands in your My Best Buy account about 15 days after you sign up, and it’s only good for 30 days from the date it’s issued. It’s one-time use, nontransferable and limited to one per member. If you sign up today, the certificate should arrive in early November and stay valid into early December, which lines up nicely with Black Friday shopping.
