The Gorilla ladder is reasonably popular with the Slickdeals community, but many users admit they have a few reservations about the product, mostly because of its weight.
User Blizzard— calls the ladder “kickbutt,” but heavy, advising “The version with the wheels is preferable as it makes moving it around much easier. At my local HD’s they often mix the wheeled and non-wheeled in same stock bins, so look carefully at all stock.”
User rcheung07 agrees that the brand is great and sometimes you do need an extended version, but overall, “As a DIY homeowner the 22’ can get pretty heavy to move around. I have the 18 and I think it’s perfect for the average homeowner.”
But Slickdealer jacob.b.smith points out that the weight comes from the ladder’s heavy-duty rating, approved for not only body weight but also the tools you’re using.
