Ubisoft will be offering its popular subscription service, Ubisoft+, to Xbox owners in the near future. However, specific timing for its arrival is yet to be revealed. Currently available on PC for $14.99/month, Ubisoft+ allows members access to a gigantic catalog of titles. Those include Assassin’s Creed ValhallaRiders Republic, and Far Cry 6.
There’s a bit of bad news about Ubisoft+, however. The platform will not be included in your Xbox Game Pass subscription. Unlike EA Play, which is bundled in its catalog without an additional fee, Game Pass subscribers will need to spring for an additional monthly payment for Ubisoft+. There’s no indication that its pricing structure will change from what’s listed on PC. That means you’ll likely see these two plans launch on Xbox:

Standard Access ($14.99/month)

  • New releases available on launch day
  • Premium editions with available DLC and season passes
  • Access to its library of 100+ titles

Multi-Access ($17.99/month)

  • New releases available on launch day
  • Premium editions with available DLC and season passes
  • Access to its library of 100+ titles
  • Stream games to supported devices via the cloud

Even though Ubisoft+ is shaping up to be a standalone service, there is a bit of good news to offset the bad. Rainbow Six Extraction will be available on day one (January 20th) on Xbox Game Pass.
“With Rainbow Six Extraction, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members are getting another blockbuster added to their library on the same day the title launches,” said Sarah Bond, Corporate VP, Game Creator Experience and Ecosystem at Xbox. “And because Rainbow Six Siege will be on both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass as well, the Rainbow Six community and fans of tactical shooters will have plenty to look forward to playing together, no matter where they play.”
Expect to hear more about Ubisoft+ in the coming weeks. Let’s hold out hope it eventually gets integrated into the standard Xbox Game Pass subscription.
