Reading Time: 4 minutesDell’s Latitude Business Laptops are for the professional that spares no expense when looking to maximize their productivity and data security. Dell has launched the new Latitude 7520 Business Laptop, introducing its latest innovations in work-focused technology in a new and larger 15.6-inch chassis size.
Starting at $1,739, the Latitude 7520 is a premium laptop with a larger, brighter display, improved audio, a new keyboard, and systemwide enhancements powered by the AI of Dell Optimizer software.
It comes in four customizable configurations, all featuring 11th Gen Intel Core processors and super fast NVMe solid state storage. The version with an Intel Core i5, 8GB of RAM, and 128GBs of storage provides a solid entry-level base for most office work. And for those with more demanding needs, higher-end configurations pack a Core i7 CPU with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
With business-oriented security features, long battery life, and improvements to video conferencing for the many of us still working remotely during this pandemic, Dell’s latest Latitude is a sleek and modern laptop built to tackle the challenges of work life in 2021.
Stay Productive Anywhere
The Latitude 7520 Business Laptop’s new 15.6-inch display is not just larger–it’s also more usable in bright outdoor conditions, with the optional SLP (super low power) display models boasting peak brightness of up to 400 nits. Available in both 1080p and 4K resolutions, the new screens also have an always-on ComfortView Plus blue light filter, which helps to reduce eye strain for longer work sessions.
While 4K displays are known for being more power hungry, SLP screens promise to maximize battery life despite the increased performance. But that’s not the only technology aimed at extending your work times away from a power outlet, and Dell claims “best in class” battery life, thanks in part to the optional 4 cell 63Whr battery.
The Latitude 7520 keeps itself cool with a Dual Opposite Outlet fan design, which Dell says is a unique system that increases cooling efficiency while maintaining a compact form factor. An effective cooling system means quieter operation, consistent performance from the processors, and better battery life as a result.
Dell Optimizer software also works to extend battery life further by adapting to your patterns and adjusting performance to cater to various workloads. And when you do eventually need a charge, Dell says the Latitude can achieve a 35% charge in just 20 minutes, or up to an 80% charge within an hour.
Business-Class Security
The Latitude 7520 is designed to get you up and running quickly and securely with minimum hassle. Thanks to its Intel Evo vPro support, the laptop springs to life instantly when the screen is opened, and it can stay synced via the internet while in standby.
Etched into the thin bezel above the display are camera and proximity sensors, which allow the laptop to detect your presence and unlock itself instantly via Windows Hello when you sit in front of it. Then, when you leave, the laptop can automatically lock itself, keeping your data safe in your absence.
For more hands-on security, the Latitude also has a built-in fingerprint sensor, which combines with Windows Hello facial recognition to give you a choice of biometric security features, meaning fewer passwords to remember and quicker access to your desktop.
Built for Remote Work
Since millions of us will be working from home for the foreseeable future, Dell has incorporated both hardware and software improvements to enhance your ability to work remotely.
New up-firing speakers placed above the keyboard, along with Dell’s Intelligent Audio software, help maximize audio and microphone clarity during video meetings.
The laptop will also detect when you’re on a video call and assign the maximum internet bandwidth to the video conferencing application in use. This aims to ensure your audio and visual quality stays as high as possible without lagging or interruptions caused by other bandwidth-hungry apps.
The Latitude incorporates the latest enterprise-class IT support and deployment features via Dell Technologies Unified Workspace. This allows companies to deploy, maintain, and service the laptop with advanced automated solutions, enhanced security, and minimal unplanned downtime.
The Dell Latitude 7520 Business Laptop is available now in premium carbon fiber or aluminum versions with a starting price of $1,739 over on the Dell website.
