Activision is running an extended free-to-play trial for Call of Duty: Vanguard. The multiplayer portion is open to all players until April 13th. During that time, everyone will be able to check out the newest maps launched as part of Season Two. Its single-player campaign will remain a premium experience.
Vanguard managed to top the charts in 2021. It became the best-selling game of the year. Its performance was well below that of 2020’s Black Ops Cold War, however, and Activision’s “first ever two-week-long Free Access period” for Vanguard could be a way to bolster its performance throughout 2022. Most critics found Vanguard‘s single-player campaign to be lacking, although its multiplayer component was just as impressive as ever.
“During the Free Access period, players can jump right into the latest Multiplayer maps launched in Season Two: Casablanca and Gondola,” Daniel Noel, writer at Activision, announced in a new blog post. “In addition to the latest maps and modes, Free Access players will also be able to jump into a diverse Multiplayer Playlist featuring Vanguard’s most popular maps, such as Shipment, a Call of Duty classic, and Das Haus, another small map that favors plenty of action.”
The Free Access event will run across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Call of Duty: Vanguard – The Best Deals and Discounts

Regardless, Vanguard is currently on sale at a variety of retailers – here are some of the most affordable ways to get your hands on the game.
