Reading Time: 4 minutesBeyond using the same weapons, character models and engine, Call of Duty: Warzone and 2019’s CoD: Modern Warfare share a premium currency — Call of Duty Points (CP). These points are used to purchase new Operators, weapon skins, weapon charms and – most importantly – the seasonal Battle Pass.
Check CoD Points Prices at Walmart
Currently, Walmart has the best price on CoD Points, but only by a few cents. Here are your current options:
- 1,100 CP (Xbox One and PS4) – Sale Price: $9.88 | Regular Price: $9.99
- 2,400 CP (Xbox One and PS4) – Sale Price: $19.88 | Regular Price: $19.99
If you’re looking to pick up a 5,000 CP code, you’ll currently have to pay full price. However, we’ve seen retailers cut prices on CoD currency packs a few months after past games launched. And since Call of Duty Points carry over across all games, make sure to watch out for discounts on packs branded for Infinite Warfare, Black Ops III or any other recent CoD title. We recommend you set up a Deal Alert if you’re hoping to pick some points for less than full price.
In the meantime, keep your eye on Activision-branded digital sales, as well as store-wide sales at big retailers like GameStop or Best Buy—a random promotion or coupon might be enough to give you the discount you’re searching for.
The Best Discounts and Deals on Call of Duty Points
Currently, there aren’t any big discounts available for Call of Duty Points. Warzone is still incredibly popular, so retailers don’t have any incentive to drop prices and entice players to make a purchase. However, if you’re willing to buy $10+ worth of points, you’ll receive bonus CP for buying in bulk. For example, while 100 CP is valued at around $1, you can buy 13,000 CP for $100, so you’re basically getting a 3,000 point bonus.

A word of caution – Call of Duty Points are available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but they are not cross-compatible! That means you’ll have to pick up a voucher specific to your system in order for it to work. Buying a discounted Xbox voucher won’t do you any good if you’re a PlayStation user, and vice versa.
Once you’ve got your Battle Pass sorted out, you may want to add Denny’s to your friends list if you’re playing on Xbox One or PS4. The restaurant’s official Gamertag is Dennys247, and it has given away 20% off of codes to random friends it plays with in the past. These codes can be used to order delivery, which means you can skip meal prep and focus on the essentials (like your K/D ratio).
Frequently Asked Questions About Call of Duty Points
How Much do Call of Duty Points Cost?
Call of Duty Points come in a variety of packages. And the more you spend, the more bang you get for your buck. In fact, you’ll start to earn bonus CP for any purchase over $9.99. Here’s how pricing is typically structured:
- 200 CP – Regular Price: $1.99
- 500 CP – Regular Price: $4.99
- 1,100 CP – Regular Price: $9.99
- 2,400 CP – Regular Price: $19.99
- 5,000 CP – Regular Price: $39.99
- 9,500 CP – Regular Price: $74.99
- 13,000 CP – Regular Price: $99.99
Do Call of Duty Points Carry Over From Previous Call of Duty games?
If you purchased Call of Duty Points for previous titles you can still use them with Warzone. However, they are still system specific — meaning if you purchased CP on Xbox One and now play on PlayStation 4, you won’t see the funds in your PlayStation 4 account.
What Can You Buy With Call of Duty Points?
The main reason people buy CP is to purchase the seasonal Battle Pass. This allows players to unlock 100 tiers of content including legendary weapon blueprints, operator skins and other cosmetic upgrades. A free Battle Pass is offered to all players, but it’s limited to just 20 tiers and doesn’t include the most exciting content.
Do I Need To Own Modern Warfare To Purchase a Battle Pass?
Nope! Although Warzone requires you to install a version of Modern Warfare that gives you access to the Warzone portion of the game, there is no need to purchase or install the full game. Warzone is a standalone experience, and you can purchase the Battle Pass without owning any other content.
Can You Earn Call of Duty Points in Call Of Duty: Warzone?
Yes, CP can be unlocked just by playing Warzone. If you’re a free Battle Pass user, you’ll earn 100 CP when you reach Tier 6, Tier 48 and Tier 98. If you’re a paid Battle Pass subscriber, you’ll have the chance to unlock 1,300 CP – earning it in various 100 CP increments until you reach Tier 100.
It’s worth noting that if you purchase the Battle Pass — which retails for 1,000 CP — you’ll be able to earn 1,300 CP just by playing the game.
If you play it smart, you only have to buy the Battle Pass once, as subsequent seasons can be funded by unlocking CP in-game. You’ll have to reach Tier 74 to recoup your 1,000 CP investment, but if you do, you’ll have enough to purchase the Battle Pass again next season.
Do Call of Duty Points Give Players an Unfair Advantage?
Thankfully, Warzone is not a pay-to-win title. Everything that can be exclusively purchased with CP is cosmetic only and has no bearing on performance.
