If you pre-order the game before it’s released (and have already completed the requisite quests from the Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers expansion), you’ll receive a 20-digit early access code that allows you to access the game on December 3rd at 1:00 a.m. (PST). To join Endwalker Early Access, visit your Mogstation account page and enter your code.
Prepare and Save with These Final Fantasy XIV Deals
Before you start typing in your credit card information, make sure you are familiar with the Final Fantasy XIV expansion structure — you might not be able to play Endwalker otherwise. First and foremost, make sure you have an active Final Fantasy XIV Online subscription.
While Endwalker includes all three FFXIV expansions that came before it (Heavensward, Stormblood and Shadowbringers), you need to own any iteration of the base game (A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy XIV Online Starter Edition or Final Fantasy XIV Complete Edition) to play it.
Luckily, Newegg is currently hosting an FFXIV sale where you can save 20% on the Starter Edition and Complete Edition:
- Final Fantasy XIV Online Starter Edition (PC) — Sale Price: $15.99 | Reg. Price: $19.99
- Final Fantasy XIV Online Starter Edition (Mac) — Sale Price: $15.99 | Reg. Price: $19.99
- Final Fantasy XIV Complete Edition (PC) — Sale Price: $47.99 | Reg. Price: $59.99
- Final Fantasy XIV Complete Edition (Mac) — Sale Price: $47.99 | Reg. Price: $59.99

Which Version of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Should I Buy?
There are no retailer-specific Endwalker pre-order bonuses, but certain expansion editions come with more freebies than others. All pre-orders come with two launch bonuses — a Wind-up Palom minion and a Memphina Earring, which offers class and job-specific features plus a 30% EXP boost when you defeat enemies while wearing it. You can claim these items on Mogstation once you’ve redeemed your pre-order code.
Standard Edition
If you favor affordability over fancy in-game exclusives, it’s hard to beat the Standard Edition’s $40 price tag. The Standard Edition comes with the Endwalker expansion plus the above pre-order bonuses.
Digital Collector’s Edition
For an extra $20, you can opt for the Digital Collector’s Edition and access three more pre-order exclusive in-game items on top of the Palom Minion and Memphina Earring:
- Arion Mount
- Wind-up Porom Minion
- Death Scythe (for Reapers only)
If you already bought the Standard edition and regret losing out on these bonuses, you’ll be able to upgrade from Standard to Digital Collector’s Edition once the game is released.
Collector’s Edition
There are generations of Final Fantasy mega-fans eagerly awaiting Endwalker‘s release, so the physical Collector’s Box bundle sold out rather quickly. There’s no news on a restock, but those lucky enough to find one can take home everything from the Digital Collector’s edition plus:
- Endwalker Special Art Box
- Paladin Figure
- Art Collection and Frame Set
- Azem Pin
- Loporrit Mini Plush
Sorry PlayStation players, the Collector’s Edition only comes with a PC game code.
Collector’s Box
If you are one of the aforementioned PlayStation users or just looking for some FFXIV memorabilia, be on the lookout for the Collector’s Box on the resale market — it comes with everything from the Collector’s Edition, minus the game itself.
