Right now, you can use Cash App (and its accompanying Cash Card) to save $1 every time you buy something at any coffee shop, like Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Dunkin’ Donuts, and more.
Just so you know, we’re not making any commissions off of this article.
It’s just a legitimately good deal we thought you’d like to know about!
So if your coffee costs around $5, you’ll essentially get a free drink after five visits. For comparison, the Starbucks Rewards program requires you to spend more than $60 to receive just one free item. That’s the equivalent of 12 visits versus Cash App’s five! Over the course of a year, you can potentially save hundreds of dollars on coffee with Cash App, especially if you buy more than one cup per day.
Ready to stretch your dollar further? Download Cash App here for iPhone and here for Android phones. A physical Cash Card will be delivered in as little as five days after you request one from your account.
Other benefits of the Cash Card include discount offers (called Boosts) from a number of different establishments, like Domino’s, Taco Bell, or even Whole Foods Market.
Currently Available Cash App Boosts:
- Any Coffee Shop – $1 off each visit (min purchase $1.50, renews every 30 minutes)
- Chick-fil-A – 10% off (max discount of $7.50, renews every 30 minutes)
- Domino’s – 10% off (max discount of $7.50, renews every 30 minutes)
- Chipotle – 10% off (max discount of $7.50, renews every 30 minutes)
- Taco Bell – 10% off (max discount of $7.50 renews every 30 minutes)
- Whole Foods Market – 10% off (max discount of $7.50, renews every 30 minutes)
Like Venmo, Cash App is a peer-to-peer payment processing app linked to your debit card, allowing you to make instant payments (depending on your bank) to other Cash App users.
However, Cash App users can also order a physical Cash Card, which is essentially a debit card that draws solely on the money you put in your Cash App account. The Cash Card is good at most major retailers and merchants, and offers special discounts at certain establishments.
And for added peace of mind, you can activate and de-activate your Cash Card with ease from the app in case it gets lost or stolen.
Cash App is not available outside of the United States and you cannot make international purchases with your Cash Card. Also, keep in mind that Boosts are subject to change at any time. So get your $1 off at any coffee shop while you have the chance!
