If you’ve got an Alexa-powered device (or you shop in the Amazon app/site), there’s an easy way to send a small “thank you” to your most recent Amazon delivery driver — and Amazon foots the bill. Here’s how it works, who’s eligible, and what to know before the promo cap is reached.

Amazon “Thank My Driver” — $5 tip paid by Amazon (no cost to you)

With Amazon’s “Thank My Driver” feature, you can thank the driver who completed your most recent delivery by saying, “Alexa, thank my driver,” or by typing “thank my driver” into the search bar on Amazon’s website or app. The thank-you applies to your most recent delivery, as long as it was delivered within the last 14 days, and the driver can be thanked once per delivery.

During the 2025 holiday promotion (starting December 3), Amazon says drivers receive a $5 bonus at no cost to the customer for each of the first 2 million thank-yous submitted. After that 2 million milestone is reached, Amazon notes the program shifts to daily $100 awards for the most-thanked drivers through December 31.

The program applies to U.S. drivers delivering Amazon packages, including Delivery Service Partner (DSP) delivery associates, Amazon Flex delivery partners, and Amazon Hub delivery associates. In the Slickdeals discussion, one delivery driver chimed in to confirm they do actually receive the $5 when customers use the feature, and another commenter noted you can trigger it by simply typing the phrase into the Amazon search bar (no Echo required).

This seems like a no-brainer that can spread some holiday cheer for your local Amazon delivery drivers!
