Reading Time: 2 minutesThe Epic Games Store continues to give out free games every week, and starting March 10, you can claim your own copy of Cities: Skylines at no cost. The popular city-building game will be available as a freebie until March 17, so be sure to swing by and pick up the title while you can.
One of the best parts of Epic Games Store’s giveaways is their “no strings attached” mentality. Simply create an EGS account (for free), claim the free game, and it’s yours to play forever. Unlike PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live, which require you to maintain paid membership to access your free games, EGS is offering Cities: Skylines without the need for a premium subscription.
Launched several years ago, Cities: Skylines earned favorable reviews from both fans and critics alike. You’re tasked with building a bustling city, managing its resourcing, and overcoming the wide variety of challenges that come your way. It offers an almost unprecedented amount of freedom, giving you the ability to build the location of your dreams – or nightmares, if you’re so inclined.
Cities: Skylines won’t be offered for free until March 10, but there are currently three freebies available through the Epic Games Store. These will stick around until March 10 and include the following:
- Black Widow: Recharged – A revival of Atari’s twin-stick shooter, Black Widow.
- Centipede: Recharged – A modern remake of the retro Centipede game from Atari
- Dauntless: Epic Slayer Kit – Offers three days of VIP club access and several in-game currencies.
