Reading Time: 4 minutesOn August 20th, Google released the anticipated Pixel 4a — its mid-level smartphone. Unlike other devices in the company’s upcoming portfolio, this version in the Pixel family isn’t 5G capable. But, other than that omission, it’s quite the bargain at $349. Best Buy currently has unlocked Pixel 4a’s for $300 with activation, or $50 off MSRP.

Verizon customers can get a Pixel 4a for $240 from the Google store when they add a line and opt for $10/month repayment plans. This is the best current offer available, but it does come with a few conditions, so scroll down or click here to read up on them.
the Pixel 4a is only sold in one configuration which includes a 5.81-inch OLED screen, a Snapdragon 730G processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Plus, it boasts longer battery life than its more expensive sibling and comes with a nearly identical camera. All told, it’s shaping up to be quite a powerful mid-range smartphone.
The Best Pixel 4a Deals and Discounts
The Pixel 4a is available at a handful of outlets, but there aren’t many noteworthy deals being offered at this time. If you can wait, it may be worthwhile to hold off on a purchase for now, as many Slickdealers believe a significant discount promotion will take place before the month’s end.
Last year, customers who purchased the Pixel 3a were eligible for a $100 gift card, so some think this incentive might make an appearance in the coming weeks. Be sure to set up a Deal Alert to receive notifications if this promotion makes a triumphant return. However, there are still a few different locations you can order a Pixel 4a.
Either way, there’s also no harm in waiting a few weeks, as no retailer is offering a “limited time only” promotion

Google Store
Verizon customers can get a Pixel 4a for $240 when they add a line and opt for a $10/month repayment plan. While this is a pretty generous offer, it does require you to continue on with Verizon (not to mention the monthly payments) for the full 24 months, as a monthly credit is applied to your account which brings the total price down over time. If you change carriers or break the contract, you’ll be on the hook for the full $379.99, which is actually a little more than MSRP.

What About 5G?
The version of the Pixel 4a releasing on August 20th will not be compatible with 5G networks. However, Google does plan to release one in the future that is. We have no confirmation as to when it will be available, but we do know that it will start at $499 and go on sale in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan and Australia.
If you’re looking for the next installment in the Pixel lineup, we should hear more about the Pixel 5 later this fall. Even less is known about this device, but it will be 5G compatible and looks to be the next flagship device for Google.
